Plan Your Plants

Lifelike silk bamboo trees make the grade when summers call for travel.
They eliminate the worry of caring for live plants that never fill the space proportionately in this sunroom and the living room that adjoins it.

Bringing Two Families Together at a Welcoming Dinner

Ashley and Kenny chose to give their families a chance to meet and get to know one another at a casual Tuscan themed Welcoming Dinner at Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha.

Vintage decanters, grapevines, and wine created a casual Italian scene with branches of fresh viburnum berries.

A delightful touch of honeysuckle vines, lanterns and candles carried the theme through the cocktail area.

Keeping the centrepieces low enables guests to ease into relaxed conversation.

With the rectangular tables set, the designs were stretched out in front of gathered friends and family.

Light Your Way

When you don't want to part with beloved art and it seems a little too small for your space, add lighting!

In this case, we position matching buffet lamps on the dining room buffet to bring the art to the appropriate scale. Editing small accessories and replacing them with two large glass vases to reflect the new light gives the dining room even more panache. A silk lady slipper orchid design on the table finishes the room with much-needed softness.

Cutting Edge Corners

I love to create warm ambience with lamp light!  Ambience requires shade, corners, and shadows. Our homeowners had the perfect corner with art that needed to be grounded and illuminated.

A functional narrow cabinet fills the space while providing a surface for a well-scaled lamp. The corner is now complete with ambient light, coziness, and storage.

Transforming Touches for the Living Room

Details make the difference in architecture, interiors, and life!
Sometimes, it is the little things that make the most in a room. We complete a conversation group with low profile teak benches; staying clear of the TV, cleverly concealed behind the art. An additional piece of art over the mantel speaks the same language as the TV art.

Tall glass and iron vases of grasses bring softness to the space, while and iron boat dish with black orbs completes the mantel. Because the living room's can lighting is sufficient, we addressed the end tables later with vessels instead of lamps. The coffee table receives a pedestal bowl and books for a finishing detail. Books of your travels on the table add color and make great conversation pieces.

Graceful Greens

Brittany wanted wedding flowers that had unique flair and would reflect her earthy natural style. She chose a mixed palette of greens, creams, and navy blue to accomplish this organic bridal look.

A boutonniere of succulents and hypericum berries adorned the groom's jacket.

Verdant boxwood wreaths added natural, elegant structure to the church decorations.

Brittany loved how the layered textures of artichokes and apples accentuated the art deco style of her wedding venue.

The flower girl carried a flower wand of roses and trails of navy ribbon fit for a princess.

The bridesmaids' clutch bouquets continued the textured organic theme with garden roses, fluffy green trick carnations, hydrangea, and berries.
