Transforming Touches for the Living Room

Details make the difference in architecture, interiors, and life!
Sometimes, it is the little things that make the most in a room. We complete a conversation group with low profile teak benches; staying clear of the TV, cleverly concealed behind the art. An additional piece of art over the mantel speaks the same language as the TV art.

Tall glass and iron vases of grasses bring softness to the space, while and iron boat dish with black orbs completes the mantel. Because the living room's can lighting is sufficient, we addressed the end tables later with vessels instead of lamps. The coffee table receives a pedestal bowl and books for a finishing detail. Books of your travels on the table add color and make great conversation pieces.

Coffee Table Talk 2

Coffee table accessories follow my general rule (not broken this time) of making the best of the rule of threes. I usually, but not always, like three different objects on a surface.

I try to vary the heights and bring color at the same time. In this case, the soft fern juxtaposes the hard slick surface of the glass bowl and knot sculpture, which relates to the glass top surface of the table. All of these elements compliment the wall behind the sofa, which was crying for one large piece of colorful art. Just a few new pieces made for a transitional and alive living room.
